JULY 11, 2019: One of my friends recently lost her son very unexpectedly. What can you say? I told her I loved her and called my own son to tell him the same.
JULY 12, 2019: I was watering the flowers this morning and disturbed a tiny frog hiding in the rocks. It was 90+ degrees, so I watered him too. I think he smiled at me.
JULY 13, 2019: Dear Week-end: I love you!
JULY 14, 2019: I just learned, today is “All American Mac and Cheese Day.” It’s like “Flag Day” but delicious.
JULY 15, 2019: As I’ve getting older, I’m gradually getting shorter. Does that mean I’m now “fun size?”
JULY 16, 2019: Rich people splurging, “I think I’ll buy a yacht.” Me splurging, “I think I’ll add an appetizer.”
JULY 17, 2019: I’m on the Board of our Homeowner’s Association. I’m still trying to find a resolution that forbids the deer from eating my flowers.
JULY 18, 2019: My poetry group met today. Someone read a “chicken crossing the road” poem… “Chicken. Road. The crossing is within. There is no other side.” Profound or bad?
JULY 19, 2019: Sometimes I think we should limit all politicians to two terms – one in office and the second in prison.
JULY 20, 2019: Today is the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s landing on the moon. I wonder if the astronauts’ footprints are still there, along with Old Glory?
