Sharon Canfield Dorsey – A Day At A Time… The Journey Continues… July 11 – 20, 2019

Spread the love

JULY 11, 2019:  One of my friends recently lost her son very unexpectedly. What can you say? I told her I loved her and called my own son to tell him the same.

JULY 12, 2019:  I was watering the flowers this morning and disturbed a tiny frog hiding in the rocks. It was 90+ degrees, so I watered him too. I think he smiled at me.

JULY 13, 2019:  Dear Week-end: I love you!

JULY 14, 2019:  I just learned, today is “All American Mac and Cheese Day.” It’s like “Flag Day” but delicious.

JULY 15, 2019:  As I’ve getting older, I’m gradually getting shorter. Does that mean I’m now “fun size?”

JULY 16, 2019:  Rich people splurging, “I think I’ll buy a yacht.” Me splurging, “I think I’ll add an appetizer.”

JULY 17, 2019:  I’m on the Board of our Homeowner’s Association. I’m still trying to find a resolution that forbids the deer from eating my flowers.

JULY 18, 2019:  My poetry group met today. Someone read a “chicken crossing the road” poem… “Chicken. Road. The crossing is within. There is no other side.” Profound or bad?

JULY 19, 2019:  Sometimes I think we should limit all politicians to two terms – one in office and the second in prison.

JULY 20, 2019:  Today is the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s landing on the moon. I wonder if the astronauts’ footprints are still there, along with Old Glory?
