JAN. 22, 2020: I just learned my brother, Carl, has a tumor on his tonsils, probably cancerous. Wrote a blog about his courageous battles with health issues. This one is really scary.
JAN. 23, 2020: Had lunch today with my “forever friend” of 40 years, Carlton. Our birthdays are a month apart and he still teases me every year about being younger. Forever friends are the best!
JAN. 24, 2020: Hair-cut day! It seems my hair always looks it’s best on the day I’m about to cut it. Can be terrible the day before but on hair-cut day, it says, “Why are you doing this to me?”
JAN 25, 2020: What’s the best thing about Saturday??? It’s not a Monday through Friday work day! Second best thing – I can hang out in my sweats all day.
JAN. 26, 2020: My movie theatre rents space to a local church on Sundays. It’s perfect! You can go to an R-Rated film and be forgiven on the way out.
JAN. 27, 2020: This is the strangest January. Temperatures of 70 – 80. People wandering around in shorts. Maybe Williamsburg is the new Florida.
JAN 28, 2020: Being over seventy doesn’t mean you can’t learn something new every day. It just means you’ll forget three others.
JAN. 29, 2020: Some people are like clouds. When they disappear, it’s a beautiful day.
JAN. 30, 2020: Went to the movies to see Dr. Doolittle today. It was sweet and funny family entertainment so didn’t need to be forgiven on the way out.
JAN. 31, 2020: My brother is still waiting to get the results of his biopsy. Why does it take so long? The uncertainty is so hard on the patient and family alike.
